Both good songs. Ultraviolet is cleaner and more immediately appealing, but I've always liked the sprawling reach of Elvis and America. Need to listen and think on this one..

Ultraviolet *might* be my favorite U2 song. I guess we'll find out.

I was gonna say the same thing. It might be my favorite too.

This is a great modern performance, definitely worth the watch.

Embarrassed to admit this, but for some reason I remembered the song title as Elvis Presley ATE America. Maybe it was a Weird Al parody.

I guess I’m not crazy. Elvis Ate America is indeed a song on their Passengers album.

This song came early in the Achtung Baby sessions, when the group was still struggling to find their new sound and unsure whether or not they should even continue. Things changed dramatically when they created "One," and later they scrapped "Lady With the Spinning Heads" for parts. "Zoo Station," "The Fly" and "Ultraviolet" all took pieces from it, though later they realized the original was actually a pretty stellar track and made it "One"'s B-side. They've never played it live, but it remains a fan favorite.

All of those songs are awesome. Lady With a Spinning Head is great too. It’s going to be said to death but that time period was absolutely astonishing for U2.
