Hopefully Solo knocks it out of the park and this gets going
Absolutely! I don't care about Solo, really, other than wanting it to be a success JUST so we can get our Obi-Wan movie. I want this movie so, so badly.

Yeah I wasn’t bothered about Solo at all but excited now. Trailers look great.
Its almost a certainty they’re waiting to see how It does before we get an announcement on Kenobi but it’s also almost certain wheels are turning on it already, at least Director and cast.

In all my wishing for this film I can’t see what they can do outside of the Kenobi book by John Jackson Miller and the Kenobi issues of the SW comics about him taking on jabbas henchmen to protect the Lars homestead and him and uncle Owen having strife.

I’m probably just locked into those stories. Usually I can come come up with possibilities pretty easily. Obi wan on tatooine watching over Luke from a remove doesn’t leave much wiggle room. That Kenobi book was awesome though.

I haven't read the book, so it's easy for me to imagine alternatives.

It’s well worth reading. Audiobook is even better. The guy nails Ewan’s Obi wans voice.

Wicked story too. Obi wan in hiding and trying to follow the lessons he was given and reach Qui gon but also havibg to pretend just to be a settler and hermit and having to abandon and hide all Jedi abilities. Fails of course here and there.

It’s all a bit like that movie Shane. Lone gunman saving the town from hustlers kinda thing

The rumour that won't die... https://www.starwarsnewsnet.com/2018/05 ... -2019.html

And for what it's worth, apparently MacGregor is going to be at the Solo premiere tonight...

I’ve nothing else to hope for right now. But I don’t want to be crushed but there’s just too much evidence this is really happening. And with Solo here(justabout) makes sense they’d have this in the bag to announce once it’s had its run at the box office.

It’s lookin good and I’m cautiously optimistic.
