Discotheque should be embarrassing but instead it's awesome.

Am I the only one who thinks Discoteque is an obnoxious song?

Discotheque is wonderful. Bono´s voice, the groove...Pop is so fucking good groove-wise...and of course that guitar riff...U2 at its finest.
Wish they could go back and do more music like this.

Whoa, seriously? I think Pop is one of their biggest misses ever. The album, the tour, the marketing -- that whole period just feel incredibly flat for me.VinylGuy wrote:Discotheque is wonderful. I think its so risky, so creative, so bold. Its u2 at its finest...going from phase to phase taking chances.tragabigzanda wrote:Whoa, seriously? I think Pop is one of their biggest misses ever. I love what come next, specially Atomic Bomb and No Line, but from Atchung to Pop they were on fire.

Can we all at least agree that the Pop version of "Discoteque" is way superior to the ATYCLB-ified The Best of 1990–2000 version?

Discotheque felt like such an absurdity when I first saw that video in high school. So I immediately learned that guitar riff. That song is fun for miles. The groove, the lyrics, the video. Amazing.
