Nah, being mean feels awful. I'm tired of feeling gross. Have fun with your thread, though.

I was really hoping when I saw you posting in this thread that you'd have a scene to post. Instead you're just vaguebooking.theplatypus wrote:Wow... wow.

All I can do is apologize and try to be better, Ash. I know how gross and cruel I was yesterday and I know I'll feel terribly about it for a long time. As I should. I don't deserve to feel good right now. But I am sorry.

Re: Rewrite an Iconic Movie Scene Starring an RMer
There was some good to come from you sharing that experience, actually. Last night we were short staffed and I had to help out a bit behind the bar (wasn't happy about it.) Some asshole came and asked me for water. Rather than do what I wanted to do (not even look up and instead point to the water jug halfway across the room like it was obvious) I smiled and poured her a water. It was a fake smile, and I didn't fill it up all the way because I was way too busy, but I knew it was better than being rude. Basically, I thought about your post and did the opposite.durdencommatyler wrote:All I can do is apologize and try to be better, Ash. I can tell you today I'm behaving completely differently at work. Last night was a huge wake up call. I needed it. I feel horrible for the delivery guy still. And I wish I could apologize face to face. But he maybe helped be a much, much better person in my day to day life. I'm in such a better place today and I know I can keep it going because any time I start to slip, I'll have the shame to remind me not to be a cruel asshat for no good goddamn reason.

I doubt he cared that much. He probably just thought you were a jerk and went about the day delivering more food to more jerks. Hell, he might even be a jerk too.durdencommatyler wrote:I'm glad some good came of it.washing machine wrote:There was some good to come from you sharing that experience, actually.
