Steve Curry is set up well for a big game tonight after three days resting his bird body. Hopefully Durant senses that and defers to him and takes himself out of the game by doing so.

This is the only thing I've ever enjoyed Steph Curry doing in Houston.

It's like the Warriors realized they can pick on a weaker defender too.

All the best games were in the first round in rather inconsequential series.

The Finals will be even more lopsided if that's possible

I feel like the Cavs/Celtics series has maybe one or two good games upcoming. Not sure about this one. The Finals will be a bloodbath.

Thankfully the league has enough star power and interesting stories and whatnot that the regular season has actually been a lot of fun the last two years, but the playoffs have felt completely pointless.

This core group for the Warriors will likely look different in as little as a year due to upcoming free agencies.

This offseason is going to be bonkers too. Just wait.

Sure, everything about the NBA right now is great except for the playoffs.

Idk. Klay seems pretty adamant that he's going to stay and sign a very discounted contract. There have already been reports that KD is going to take less money again. I don't remember hearing anything about Draymond, but still.

Re: star players in their prime taking discounts to be on a winning team

They have every right to do so. Who am I to tell somebody where they should work and how much compensation they should have to receive? If they value winning above money, well, that's what people have traditionally wanted their athletes to do, so it'd be pretty hypocritical of me for blasting them for doing so (even though it obviously annoys me when it's done to help a team a dislike but I was glad when Miami's Big Three did it).

The issue I do have, though, is the double standard involved. For example, I was reading one of those "Where will LeBron go" articles the other day and it was discussing him going to Houston (which I hope doesn't happen). But according to the article, one of the main problems with him going there is that Chris Paul as union president can't take less money, he has to get as much as he can. And LeBron, as the league's biggest star, also is expected by the NBAPA to get the biggest contract possible and about his supposed responsibility to do so for the next generation of NBA stars. Obviously these are outside expectations being projected onto these guys and maybe they could say screw you and do what they want and take less money like KD, but it seems like as a result of these expectations either of them will find it more challenging to create a team that's capable of giving the SuperWarriors a legitimate challenge.

There is too much money for guys out there with sponsorship money ect. They have the option to take less from their team and just worry about their brand because idiots join smile direct club because of Draymond.
