Hearing DYFL? on an Aiwa stereo in my buddy's bedroom in ninth grade is the moment that transformed me from a casual fan who owned Achtung and knew the hits to a big time fanboi. He had gone to the bathroom and I just pressed play, and it must have been on random. A couple minutes into the song I'm like, "Who is this?!" and buddy was all, "It's U2, bro!" and I was like, "Holy shit!"

I ended up buying Pop and the rest of the catalog over the next few months and would listen to them from beginning to end letting the spirit of each album warsh over me.

But I still voted for IGWSHA because I think it's the better song and twenty years ahead of its time.
