I propose next year we try a pitching only league. I'm not sure how best to structure it, probably a points based league instead of head to head stat categories. But it'll be different and fun, and won't require as many players. That way we won't be asking people to play who we know won't last the season.
I hope there are at least 4 still paying attention since im in 4th

And id be up for how ever we want the RM league to be set up next year

If we still have enough for a full league we should do the RM league normally next year.

I'm just thinking of putting together another starting pitching only points based league that I think will be fun.

I dont like the idea of a 4th OF in theory, but you make a great point that only having 3 is leaving alot of players that would otherwise be used, collecting dust on benches.

Hey numbers, why are you against the proposal for next year? I'm also leaning against it, but I'm looking for people's reasoning on it.

Also, ignore Rod Fritz, I heavily discount his opinion on these matters.

Just general principle I guess, a team has 3 outfielders, not 4. Plus, it's not like you are forced to carry 4 outfielders and play 3. I only have 1 bench player and I use all those extra spots for pitchers. I also dont want to have absolutely nothing available when you need an injury replacement. I dont want our league to become one of those ones where you have 4 infielders, 2 corner infielders, 2 middle infielders, a LF, a CF, a RF, 3 utilites, and so on.

That's pretty much where I stand. Can you post this in the league boardd?

Thanks. When I inevitably say no to this I want there to be reasons behind it that are well stated and not just my own.

I cant think of any changes I'd make to our current structure. I'm leaning towards capping the keepers at 4, but other than that I think everything's good. Making the switch to ESPN was a GREAT call, btw.

I'm with you on that. I think we have a really good thing going with this league. I'm also leaning towards 4 for keepers, but I'm going to be a lot more democratic with that decision. Have you voted in the poll on keeper caps?

I've been playing close attention to the RM league. I'm currently in fifth, but Im within striking distance of third. I think I'll get into the top four before the playoffs.
Please consider voting for me

I just hope Pete realizes that I am paying attention in the money league. Just bad string of injuries early on has me well behind. Had a good couple of weeks then back down. I'm in first in the RM league, so that shows that I pay attention. Really bummed about my money league team though. I go from one of the best regular season records last year to this. :/

I know you're paying attention. I can see the activity log.

What do you think of that proposal for next year thread?
