I agree but I'm also bummed. The reboot has ranged from good to fantastic, and the modern Conner family was an awesome venue for the writers and performers to explore the ideas that seem to be tearing our country apart.

Knowing where Roseanne herself is "coming from" (somewhere in outer space), the afore-mentioned "modern" values came off as simply disingenuous to me. I don't buy Roseanne as a "sensible" conservative to Jackie's "wackiest of the wacky" liberal. Or including a black grandchild just to prove that she's not racist. The whole thing made me uncomfortable.
