Some fucking great moments, a lot of much older looking folks, and one or two forced-feeling scenes per ep. Tambor’s speeches in places felt a little too authentic to me. Maeby, Lucille, and Michael make it shine.

It’s a great victory lap of a season, with a few jokes that are among the absolute highlights of the series, and also the right time to call it a day.

Tambor absolutely kills me. His delivery gets me every time.

I agree with strat about it getting better as it goes on. The 2nd and 3rd episodes were meh, but from 4 on it was just aces. The first couple relied a little too heavy on the narration.

Maeby owned pretty much every scene she was in.. and she looked way hotter with old lady wigs on for some reason? George Micheal was solid as well. The Tambor transparent joke in the first episode was great. GOB was hit or miss, and for the most part I could have done without Tobias. I really liked Lucille, especially in the
Spoiler: show
Sally Sitwell back and forth
Definitely felt more like Arrested Development than season 4 (which i need to rewatch) but less ambitious. Im happy they did this and I cant wait for the 2nd half of the season.

I thought eps 2 and 3 were good, actually. And while the writing for Tobias was a real weak spot, Cross has spent most of the show’s run making magic out of practically nothing anyway.

I’m super impressed that they can still capture the magic after all this time, even if perhaps a little less consistently. Even the season 4 historical footage got me. Lucille 2’s brother

Yeah I've seen up through the third new episode so far and it's still a funny show.

Will Arnett looks like shit, which is funny in itself.

I think the overnarration took me out of 2 and 3. Im excited to attempt to rewatch this after rewatching 4 again. The stuff at Ron Howards house was pretty great as well.
