The most perfect analogy for the last Jedi I’ve ever heard

‘It’s like coming out of an exam and some people are really excited cos they know they nailed it and others are pure grim cos they know they flunked it’

:haha:

Works on a few levels :)

Just watched Empire followed by The Last Jedi.

These are hands down the two best Star Wars movies. I love them both.

Something all the haters is missed is the lessons luke learns the hard way in Empire directly shape and influence who he’s become in last Jedi. Running to save the galaxy isn’t the best option.

Bryan young wrote an excellent thread on it yesterday. Worth a read

The two films (Empire & Last Jedi) connect and mirror each other in fascinating ways. I love how deep and subtle those connections can be. And TLJ never feels like an Empire retread.

All those endless complainers saying ‘it’s just gonna be a retread on Empire!’ Before it’s release are the very same ones complaining about it now cos it wasn’t that.

You can’t fucking win but reading today about whole factories of paid twitter trolls literally hired to complain and cause strife on twitter and online and the last Jedi was the one of the biggest outlay / highest amount of involvement from them.

So who’s doing it? It’s concerted and organised but why? It’s happening everywhere on every issue also.

While you know my displeasure with new SW, I cannot fathom being so disgruntled that people would actually create bot accounts (or however they're done) and wreak havoc to undermine ratings on sites or the plethora of goofy YouTube videos expressing utter outrage at their childhoods ruined.

I like to express my displeasure on here, but geez some people...

One that is funny is that Ivan Ortega that is redoing TLJ. LOL.

IVe been wondering about my own feelings about it. Do I like it? I haven’t watched it with anything like as much views as all the others. I just don’t find myself wanting to go back to it. Same with cool rogue one. Whereas I want to see Solo over and over.
I do love it it’s simply not as easy a go to as Empire or a new hope.

That guy makes a really interesting point about how fans latching on to Kylo's version of the hut scene. That is really fascinating and consistent with my experience as well. The other odd thing to me is that those same fans insist that Kylo is lying to Rey about her being "no one." So... they think Kylo is lying about that but not about what happened with Luke in the hut?

People are weird.

I mean, if I hated something that much, I'd just walk away from it and leave it alone forever.

There both daring films. Ain't nothing gonna beat the throne room scene for me for a long time.
