I've been saying this about GSW ever since they won their first title and people were jumping off bridges, fearing no one would win another anytime soon. The only legit recent dynasties are the Bulls, then Spurs. GSW are far, far away from that.
I would give GSW dynasty cred without Durant. But his signing there was just so fucking weak.
So a dynasty team can't make their team better by signing a guy when they have cap room?
Nope. And I won't be swayed.
Yeah, they signed 'a guy' with cap space. MD....you disgust me
It was between paying Harrison Barnes or signing Durant. Not really a hard decision.
It was Durant who ruined their credibility. He made the choice.
I'll make sure they consult you with future personnel decisions. I'm sure they want their future championships to be credible.
I know I'm only one random loosely-Pearl-Jam-related-message-board-poster, but I respected the hell out of that Warriors team that won their first title. And they didn't need a ring-chasing league MVP in his prime to join them. Now it's just fucking lame.

Exactly. It's really sucked the fun out of the entire league.

You all have the right to cheer for whomever you like, but saying the Warriors can't be considered a real dynasty because they signed Durant in free agency is a bad sports take. Every dynasty or "almost dynasty" is based on luck, good management, good coaching, and having role/star players that compliment one another in personality/skills.

in Oakland every basket by the home team is cause for ecstatic surprise followed by standing up

It sounds like what a Backstreet Boys concert probably sounded like back in the day when the opening of Everybody hit.

We told you exactly what makes their dynasty* different. You can't explain the Snake when looking back at past dynasty teams.

You told me, but it is still a dumb take. They had cap space and signed a great player versus giving an average starter a max contract.

Just because they could do it and Durant was cowardly enough to join up doesn't make it respectable.

I really hope not, but what was your point by saying that? It'll ruin the league even more?
