U2 Tournament-Until the End of the World wins!

Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

Truly special. Watching now.
Might be my single favorite U2 thing ever. Maybe not, but absolutely in consideration.

6 X in a row right now. Lolz.

Let's talk about the funniest performance of this tournament's winner: the version from the Slaine Castle DVD, where Bono pretends to be a bull and then does a very gay dance with The Edge

There are probably a dozen songs that could’ve won and I’d say, “Yup, that makes sense.” And Ultraviolet is near the top of that list (even though I don’t make lists).

I’ll be bonerstorming on that next
Goddamn. Rock your socks off, balls to the wall, fantastic. That’s why U2 is a live band.

I don’t wanna sound like a queer or nothin, but I wouldn’t hesitate to do a very gay dance with The Edge if given the opportunity. :naughty:

My favorite Edge dance. “Teach me something funky, The Edge”

There’s no denying the greatness of that song/performance. Especially the from that dance —> finish. That solo... fuck me  “THE EDGE!”

What an incredibly constructed and wonderfully performed production ZooTV was. It’s remarkable. Once I start watching, I anticipate and can’t wait for the next song. It’s brilliant.

Zooropa lives in the shadow of Achtung Baby, but it’s such a strong album beyond the minor hits that are Numb and Lemon.

The First Time got blown out by Pride understandably, I guess, in its first matchup, but I think it’s one of the best U2 songs that not a lot of peope know. If I’m in the right mood, it will bring tears to the edge (SWIDT?) of my eyes.

I have a lover, a lover like no other
She got soul, soul, soul, sweet soul
And she teach me how to sing.

Shows me colours when there's none to see
Gives me hope when I can't believe
That for the first time I feel love.

I have a brother, when I'm a brother in need
I spend my whole time running
He spends his running after me.

I feel myself goin' down
I just call and he comes around.
But for the first time I feel love.

My father is a rich man, he wears a rich man's cloak.
He gave me the keys to his kingdom coming
Gave me a cup of gold.

He said "I have many mansions
And there are many rooms to see."
But I left by the back door
And I threw away the key
And I threw away the key.

For the first time, for the first time
For the first time, I feel love.

Love Is Blindness totally does it for me. The solo combined with bass and drum on this hit all my musical feels.

We need to get together and watch complete performances, which we never do anymore. Maybe just set aside a Saturday and get rip roarin’ drunk. A few that immediately come to mind...

Zoo TV Sydney
PopMart Mexico City
Pink Floyd PULSE
Roger Waters In the Flesh
Pearl Jam [your choice]

Listening to and watching Bad right now. I’m really surprised this wasn’t a final four song. It’s quintessential U2 in every way, and still marvelous.

I was just going to post this, you fucker! Live Aid and Wide Awake in America may be the more iconic (I hate the misapplication and overuse of that word) versions of the song, but the one from Rattle and Hum is totally chub-inducing.
