jazz guitar bores me to death.

Jazz piano, trumpets, horns, and other various instrumentation is fantastic.

Jazz guitar grates on me.

Really getting into this guy these past couple weeks, and this is probably my favorite track -- really kicks into overdrive at about 1:45. Fans of Nels Cline, Bill Frisell, etc. should enjoy.

I think I own more music by Miles Davis than anyone else (unless you count all my damn Pearl Jam bootlegs) -- truly one of the all-time greats. Here's a somewhat hidden (to the extent that any of Miles's music is "hidden" anymore) gem that I've always counted among his best tracks:
