Working my way through Parts Unknown. The Lyon episode made me cry a lot. Seeing Bourdain transform into a little kid being around that chef, the pure joy spilling out of him every moment...it was just so beautiful. And all the food footage was pure pornography.

Also, I had no idea The Russo Brothers of current Marvel Movie fame had anything to do with this show.

It slows down and becomes a little TVy in the middle seasons, but still sizzles and simmers slightly below the surface.durdencommatyler wrote:If this is a slow burn, then I'm not gonna be able to take it! That makes sense. I can't imagine sustaining this level of tension for the entire run. It's Breaking Bad level right now.Monkey_Driven wrote:It slows down and becomes a little TVy in the middle seasons, but still sizzles and simmers slightly below the surface.durdencommatyler wrote:If this is a slow burn, then I'm not gonna be able to take it! Midway through season 6 of Parks and Rec. This is my first run-through of the show, and it's just so good. I don't think any season has been weak, and it just has this lovely feeling like it could go on and on forever and still be funny.

The final season is the only one that falls flat here and there. For me, the show would have been absolutely perfect if the S6 finale had been the Series Finale.
But otherwise, yes. It's such a wonderful show.
