A) no one should replace EV. They just need to take the band back from him;
B) New Adventures in HiFi is REM’s best record.

Re: Who should PJ hire to replace EV?
I don't think EV should be replaced.
However, I remember back in the pre/post Avocado days Mike saying something about them releasing an EP. I also sort of remember EP talk when they left Epic and they weren't exactly sure what their future releases would look like because they were "exploring options".
I always thought that would be a great idea. Instead of forcing an album, or waiting for side projects, family commitments, etc to settle down, just release an EP of (hopefully) really solid material, and hit the road every year or so.

If Avo, BS and LB were all 4-5 track EPs instead of bloated with crap tracks, it'd have been a massive improvement.ilpazzo wrote:I don't think EV should be replaced.

I mean, really! Evenslow....Collapse into Now above UP?!?! I don't feel like I know you anymore.cutuphalfdead wrote:Up is top tier REM you fucking rubes.
I will say that just seeing the thread topic had me laugh out loud. The absurdity of it, but also the reality that he is the weaker link in modern day PJ. At least Jeff is getting better each tour!

It's my favorite song from the last 2 albums. That doesn't mean a lot but I like it.Monkey_Driven wrote:Nah.tree_ wrote:Force of Nature is the worst song ever.

I like it too. Put it in the Yield recording sessions and it would do just fine.chewm wrote:It's my favorite song from the last 2 albums. That doesn't mean a lot but I like it.Monkey_Driven wrote:Nah.tree_ wrote:Force of Nature is the worst song ever.
