You didn't get his mass text?

Are you in his contacts?

He's away with the family on holiday.
ok, good, just not the same these days with out him around.
The thread definitely feels less... volatile.

I know it's different - but (to my ears) the verse has a similar feel to the verse of Hope by REM. Of course Michael Stipe's eyebrows don't merge into his hairline every time he emphasises a syllable and he doesn't pull his head away from the mic 21 times a minute.
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

I'd be cool with a Springsteen model, where there's no opener but they invite lots of people onstage. I especially enjoy when an artist comes on and collaborates on a PJ song. Like at PJ20 when the guests came on and helped them out on a few songs. If they played a longer set, and gave Ed's throat a rest while someone like Brian Fallon sings lead on a tune or two, that'd be fun.

That song always reminded me of Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne"

Oh, apparently Stipe gave Cohen co-songwriting credit for "Hope". Makes sense.

Do you think it will be better than Avacado or Backspace?
You so silly. I do think it will be better than the past two efforts. Again, that is me being opitomistic. Avocado is my least favorite so far. I enjoy backspacer but rarely look to it when I'm in the mood for something of substance

Stone described it as sounding like Pearl Jam so it has to be better.

I would say I am awaiting a album review like.
Pearl Jam leans on the shoulders of their hereos on this their Tenth album Lightning Bolt. Twelve songs that are fast punchy and fun. It's as if The Split Enz ,Bad Religion got together with Bernie and Elton to make a album for Pearl Jam to cover. The result is the most inspired Pearl Jam album since the turn of the century. 4stars

Punchy is such an annoying terminology.
