See that's the kind of stuff I fucking love. I want to delve deeper into the genre, but don't know where to start. Help me, r2d, you're my only hope.

Are you talking about that track (Lost in Keiv) specifically or post-rock in general?E.H. Ruddock wrote:See that's the kind of stuff I fucking love. I want to delve deeper into the genre, but don't know where to start. Help me, r2d, you're my only hope.

That track specifically. I've explored a little bit more recently and have had some real hit or miss experiences with post rock. I've listened to Pullman for years, before I knew what the genre was, if that helpsrun2death wrote:Are you talking about that track (Lost in Keiv) specifically or post-rock in general?E.H. That track has some heavier elements, so you may like bands like Russian Circles, Red Sparrows, Pelican and pg.lost.E.H. Ruddock wrote:That track specifically. Just discovered this band a couple of weeks ago. They may be up your alley.
Also, if you like a bit of singing Oh Hiroshima's EP from a few years ago was outstanding.

I feel like this could be the best post-rock album of the year so far. They are coming to PHX at the end of the month. It's like a 50-seat club.

I've mentioned it before, but my Dad was cremated to a song from that "We Lost the Sea" album. It's a great one.
I love the way they used Reagan's speech after the Challenger disaster at the very end of Part 2 of that song.

Yeah, the first time I heard the album was the first time I'd heard that speech in years.Higgs wrote:I've mentioned it before, but my Dad was cremated to a song from that "We Lost the Sea" album. It's a great one.

I actually blubbered for a couple of minutes.

New Zealand's best (and only?) post rock band. Pretty cool album from '06.
