Re: U2 Tournament-Until the End of the World wins!
Took the night off for your benefit and mine.
Morning, your toast
Your tea and sugar
Read about a politician’s lover
Go through the day
Like knife through butter
Why don’t you
You dress in the colors of forgiveness
Your eyes as red as Christmas
Purple robes are folded on the kitchen chair
You’re gonna sleep like a baby tonight
In your dreams everything is alright
Tomorrow dawns like someone else’s suicide
You’re gonna sleep like a baby tonight
Pretty cool song. The boys still got it sometimes.

The thread vanished. I panicked. Thought it was gone forever. I’m alright now.

I still find U2 interesting when they're more exploratory and not trying to produce a hit. Bono is way too wordy now though. Used to love his lyrics and his ability to let a song breathe while still painting a pretty good emotional picture. Now, he just sucks the life out of songs.macphisto wrote: Morning, your toast

Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

And this. This. For the love of all that’s holy, give me this. The entire song is brilliant and Edge is breathtaking. And the rhythm section stays embedded in my brain for days...

I’d be hard pressed to say that those aren’t my two favorite U2 songs.

It warms my heart that I forced U2 on you all those years ago, and that at some point it clicked for you, and now you feel the same way I do about some of these songs/performances.

In Uniondale right now to see them tonight. Participating in the U2 tournament, both voting/posting and reading the comments, got me very excited for this show. Thanks, y'all.

Re: U2 Tournament-Until the End of the World wins!
I have a U2 station on Pandora that also plays some PJ, and I’ve been getting some good back-to-backs.
Yesterday it was Red Hill Mining Town->Better Man.
Today I got Pride->Jeremy->Duran Duran’s Come Undone->Live version of Wonderwall->Stay.
Pandora really has a feel for what I wanted to hear—and sing along to at max volume—while serving breakfast while my kids look on in confused horror.
Cool story, bro!
