He's not going to Boston and I don't think Kyrie is relevant to that at all.
He's not going to Boston for a host of reasons.

If San Antonio wasn't a crappy place to live he'd probably go there.

Kyrie is never going to matter more than LeBron, no matter how bad he wants to.

KD is a moron if he thinks he can do that. It's backwards. He should be ring chasing on buddy teams now that he's 30. Instead, he wasted his prime being a cupcake on a 73-9 team.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he went there. There's no obvious perfect fit, so why not team up with Pop and Kawhi?

You and I would agree with that....but LeBron thinks it sucks I'm sure.

Agreed, clear the Eastern Conference out.

Right. Though don't get me wrong I'd pack Kyrie's bags for him if it meant getting Lebron.

Yeah I was annoyed when I clicked the link and it didn't say what the offer was. What a useless "report".

My guess:

Jaylen Brown, Rozier or Smart, and one or both of Sacramento and Memphis' 2019 picks. Would be a fair deal for both sides if they included both picks.

Yeah, probably something like that. They have to make the money match, though, don't they? Idk how that works when you include draft picks.

But there's no way the Spurs should even consider such a deal. Kawhi was a top 3 player in the league in 2017. The Celtics could offer everything you mentioned as a possibility and I probably wouldn't do it if I was SA.

The offer was made after the injury lingered and things weird though. Spurs should have pulled the trigger, he's leaving eventually anyway.

If you feel like he is leaving I think you make the deal. I think he stays though since they can offer siginificantly more money.

Disagree. None of those Celtics have superstar potential and they could absolutely get very high picks in this draft if that's what they wanted. Obviously we're speculating since we don't know what the offer was, but if it was like what MD sketched out, and I imagine it was, there's no way I'd do that if I was SA.

There's a quote from Kawhi that's stuck with me with those whole weirdness which was something to the effect of, "If I wasn't hurt why wouldn't I be playing?" Idk. The whole thing is very strange, and maybe I'm blinded by thinking that he's a great, great player, but I wouldn't give up on him so easily.
