I'm actually excited about another version of Friday Night Lights on the big screen.
I loved the original movie and the show, but neither really delved into the real meaty issues of the book.

Re: What movies are you watching?
We watched The Florida Project over the weekend. There were some great moments but we both felt it should have been about 45 minutes shorter.

I want to see this because I like Leigh Whannell but I’m afraid it’s going to fall into the John Wick/The Raid mold of emotionless, ultraviolent, hyper-choreographed action that I don’t like at allBurtReynolds wrote:Upgrade

Re: What movies are you watching?
It's not that John Wick-ian. You'd probably like it.
There isn't tons of action in it, but what action there is seems really amateurish to me. It has one of the lamest car chases I've ever seen in a movie.
My main complaint is there is way too much setup to a story we've seen 10 thousand times. We know what's going to happen. Get on with it. Karate chop some dudes to death already. It has it's moments, but I was bored.
It was funny how much this guy looked and acted like Tom Hardy.
