I goddamn love Amongst the Waves. I'll never understand the hate it gets.

Force of Nature is so far and away a worse song that it boggles the mind. It's such a dumb mess. However... HOWEVER... I can wrap my head around WHY people connect to it, I think. It's just never done anything for me.

I’ve never denied I like Amongst the Waves. Been open open about that since the 30 second clip was released before the album. That said, it’s still well down my overall PJ favorites list. Hell, it’s on Backspacer in which every song sucks to some degree. I like DMB, but mostly live stuff and old albums. Before These Crowded Streets is a great album though.
