It's a pretty tune and Ed sings it really well. I'm just not a huge fan of Cat Stevens' writing.

Used the wayback machine to find some old fanviews of the japanese shows.

http://web.archive.org/web/200304121928 ... t2003.html
My first Pearl Jam show!! "The waiting drove me mad!" It was absolutely brilliant and worth the wait!!!!!!!!!!!! Getting to the show for me meant getting up at 3.45 am to milk my cows then travel across Hokkaido by train to catch a plane for Sendai. We arrived at Izumity early and there was already a feeling of anticipation, and excitement from the early arrivals. Our seats were --I could hardly believe it, in the fourth row in the centre!!!! The show was a bit late starting, but that was okay. When the band thundered out and broke straight into "Of the Girl" it was amazing we were all up on our feet rocking really hard from even before the first moment! That song is one of the best starters and so amazing live! We never used our seats for the whole show we just went wild and it was amazing!

I've never had such a good time. When you go to a Pearl Jam show you feel you are actually one with them. They embrace and include you, they are not above you, but with you, are you. They look at you - you can catch their eye and attention and they respond. Being a small venue made it so personal - the best !!!!!!! Eddie and Mike were in great rocking form, looking sun drenched from Australia!! They started the show a bit late but they gave us well over two hours -- of their music and hearts. I understand so well now, how people want to travel to all their shows, I so wish I could!!!!!!! Then it was all over, I wish the band could have seen the crowd afterwards everybody was so happy we just couldn't take the grins off our faces!!! Even on the train back into Sendai City!!! They gave so many people so much happiness and pleasure -- This is what life is about energy and happiness not awful war and killing people.

THANK YOU Eddie, Mike, Stone, Jeff, Matt, Boom and everyone else who helped to make the concert at Izumity21 in Sendai such an unforgettable experience for me.
I can hardly wait for the next time you come.

I made a 2003 mix earlier this year, then decided that the Japan songs didn't fit because there was no crowd, and decided to make a separate mix just of the Japanese shows. The Japan disc is heavy on songs from my favorite show of the 5 (Osaka) but all 5 shows are represented. I'll torrent this thing on ZOMB if anybody wants. I need to get my ratio up there anyway.

I'm listening to the Sendai show now and very much enjoying it. A little sloppy but still very good. Half Full is a good choice from this show. Stone's guitar is especially nasty on this version.

Listening to some of these tonight. What a unique experience that must have been for them. And what a nice little change up to listening to "normal" boots.

The Release -> Can't Keep opener of Tokyo is really nice. The Release version is not perfect, but you can really hear some emotion in Ed's voice.

Really enjoying these.

I always loved the Porch/Save You combo from Osaka, They rip through porch and when the crowd and band start to walk off, ed calls em back and they rip through a killer version of Save You.

Lukin & Not For You from Tokyo. This may be best lyrical performance of Lukin by Ed.

As a side note to whoever creates the track listing, it may be a good idea to lay it out in the way Mansfield 03, Gorge 05, Santa Barbara 06 were done. Release, Oceans, Of the Girl, Thumbing My Way, Off He Goes, NAIS, Can't Keep, Footsteps, Immortality, Thin Air, All or None, etc. can all be used to make a nice little opening setlist.

When I get home from work tonight I'll put the list up on the OP, and make changes to it as everyone agrees on stuff. That list I made will just be used as a starter for the OP, definitely nothing concrete.

edit - on second thought, I'll just keep updating my post. Don't want to ruin the OP's post.
