i really did not enjoy Bao
I liked it, but my wife and son didn't. As I said before, I was the only person who laughed at it.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. Spoiler: show
Metaphor. She was a helicopter mom who didn't want to see her son harmed so he became rebellious to get out from under her constant supervision. Then he went and got married and in a last ditch effort to keep him from leaving she 'ate' him, but really just cut him out of her life. Dad does a last-ditch effort to bring the two of them back together and there's your happy ending.

The part that I didn't get until the end was that the bao didn't have a pierced chin, it was supposed to be a goatee. But man, it really looked like piercings for the longest time.

How can you have too many foreigners in a movie that's about the entire world?
