R1: Wish You were Here vs. From This Day

Machine Head is one of my least favorite metal bands ever. Total trend chasing bullshit and whether that means groove metal, nu-metal, "true" metal, thrash metal, nu-metal revival, they fucking suck. Rob Flynn is a loudmouthed pussy too.

So I obviously vote for Incubus. Wish You Were Here jams.

I don't really care for them much one way or the other, but man, it's easy to forget that the band that released the Blackening was once this terrible. Trend chasing indeed.

The Incubus song is great. I think I'm a little gay for the singer.

WYWH is definitely the better song, but it's not really nu-metal, so I'm torn.

Agreed. I voted for it here, but probably won't after this match. Its a really good song so it probably doesn't belong in this tournament.

Now, Pardon Me, has many of the hallmarks of a nu-metal song.

I got tired of WYWH because it was everywhere for a while, which set me to avoiding it for long stretches. But it's still easily the much better song here.
