I had no idea Rivers Cuomo was involved with "Stupid Girl" until Jammer mentioned it, but now all I can hear in that song is Weezer. That said, it is very, very bad.

"Toxicity" is legitimately a fantastic song. I love it. Always have.

I'm thankful for Jammer's insight during this tournament.

How could anyone doubt whether System of a Down is nu-metal or not? These verses are straight out of the playbook.

I can't say I'm a System fan but they're clearly a cut above these other jokers. The lack of self-pity and shock-schlock in their lyrics really does a lot for the presentation.

I'm certain I'm the only poster who actually grew up listening to nu-metal here. Was a big part of middle school for me. Skateboarding, wasting my mom's money on Linkin Park and Disturbed CDs, drinking Mountain Dew and Mountain Dew derivatives, good times?

I did listen to the Pearl Jams and Felicia in Chainz back then too, I guess some had more staying power than others.

I probably like SOAD and Deftones more than Pearl Jam still. :haha:

I also really liked Audioslave and Velvet Revolver when those dropped.

Now though?

Cold's Stupid Girl is almost as bad as Garbage's Stupid Girl.
