MSG is the only one I don't have. My roommate had it and I have Showbox . We both preferred Showbox.
showbox is a good one, pretty good performance and a good selection of songs for what was a warm up show right?
Yeah one of the warm ups for the RA tour.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

I've watched Touring Band and Live At The Garden probably about 20 times each. Garden was sort of a random purchase at the time back in '04 that led to me getting really into PJ and music DVDs in general.

Garden's setlist is far from ideal, but the show has a lot of memorable moments, and an inconic version of Crazy Mary.

Imagine in Corinice, gah. They really screwed the pooch on that one. A mix of behind the scenes/interviews/slice of touring life stuff and live footage can lead to great results, but Danny Clinch (or whoever was responsible for the final edit) was clearly not up to the task.

The whole concept of the film and the attitude behind it is just infuriating. First, as a value for a $20 DVD, it sucks. The tracklist is pathetic, only the Avacado songs make it distinct from the other DVDs, and most of them aren't too special. Come Back, Gone, Comatose, and WWS are decent.

If they had stacked the bonus tracks section (like on Wilco's "Ashes Of American Flags"), or put a REAL show on a 2nd disc, it'd be great. But as it is, you get 90 minutes, half of which is fluff, crap, and unremarkable performances of greatest hits.

My God, the interviews and other bits are agonizing. Ed:"My throat really hurts! Maybe I should stop smoking this cigarette! Naw. Naw, I'mma keep smokin' the cigarette.". Then there's the part where he tries to act all humble and organic like he and Boom can relate to the Italian church organ player, the part at the end where he tries to act all humble working man by sweeping up in the bell tower, pretty much all of it makes me feel like I'm watching a political campaign ad where Mitt Romney is trying to act human or something.

The sound mix and camera work are terrible, too. Garden showed that you can have your semi-fancy camera setups and not have it be distracting, Imagine is shot like they think they're filming Muse or something. The mix sounds very little like a live show coming out of a PA, it's all sweetened cleaned up soundboard.

I've learnt its best to avoid 'live action' interviews with eddie, written ones have a chance of being ok, but otherwise....eh.

Sonic Reducer was so bad at this show. Also not a good version of Gimme Some Truth. And of course, trainwreck version of Indifference with Ben. 2001 Bridge School versions are so incredibly great that this one is extra painful.

A big problem on this particular version was the Buzzcocks guy-- it looked like he didn't know the song at all.

Know what SR was incredible? The one on that "Even Flow - Live In The USA 1994" bootleg from back in the day. No idea what show it was from, but man did that version scorch.

Yeah, every Dave A. version is unbeatable. But they sucked with this one in 2003, 2004 and 2005...and they returned with grace this year and maybe last year.
