Split Second was pretty cool. Seems like a good mix between arcade and sim.

I would encourage everyone to give Dirt 3 a try. Rally really is the only motorsport worth a damn, after all. You don't have to enter in the Gymkhana events to get to the end of career mode, either.

I'm not a big racing gamer but the Dirt series is very good.

I'm on my way to the store at ten o'clock on a Sunday morning because my stepson has to have the new Pikmin 3 on the release date.

I love Pikmin but this one is not enough incentive to pick up a Wii U.

Finished Uncharted 2, working on downloading the PS+ version of Uncharted 3 now. I dunno if I'm in the minority here, but...
Spoiler: show
I'm not a huge fan of the supernatural elements of the first two games; in the original Uncharted it was a big surprise and added a new dimension to the game, for sure, but it was also sort of frustrating. Uncharted 2, I felt like it was kinda like, "Well, we had monsters in the first one, sooo..." Without spoiling too too much, is there any of that in Uncharted 3?
Still, both are good games. Really think it has some of the best AI in any of the games I've played for PS3 (which is only like 10 so far).

In that regard they're still similar to Indiana Jones: the movies start out about artifact hunting and then suddenly it goes wonky and supernatural. I'm about to start the Vita version (Yay PSN+ for free games!) and I imagine it's similarly structured.

As for how I felt about those two games? It was a surprise in both and kind of a let down.

Uncharted 2 is easily my favorite game of all time.

I have a confession to make...

I've never played Super Mario World past World 2. I aim to fix this sometime this week.

I never owned a Super Nintendo. I do have it on the Virtual Console on my Wii but never played it past that point. I'm going to revisit it tonight.

My stepson and I just played through it on the SNES a couple of months ago. He likes going back and playing all the old Mario, Zelda, Mega Man, and Metroid games I grew up on, so it is pretty fun.

That's great. I love that era of games. 8 bit and 16 bit games don't seem as dated as many 32 bit and 64 bit games.

That looks maddening. That is exactly the type of game you play way too much of and then see whenever you close your eyes.
