I’ve never heard Bodies before, but I’m not planning to start now: Roots Bloody Roots is an all-time classic.

I really can't stand it, but how do you not vote for it?E.H. Ruddock wrote:I picture Burt listening to bodies during particularly intense times of drawing, such as big snakes trying to eat mice in Scurry.
I dont even know how to process this. It was everywhere. maybe more of a US thing.Birds in Hell wrote:I’ve never heard Bodies before.

I guess one of those things that just doesn’t translate over here, like Dave Matthews Band or Rush.BurtReynolds wrote:I dont even know how to process this. It was everywhere. maybe more of a US thing.Birds in Hell wrote:I’ve never heard Bodies before.
Anyway, I listened to it now: nope, never heard it.

I like how they think chanting numbers and the same line over and over again actually constitutes as a verse.

Somehow I remembered "Bodies" being a lot heavier than what I just heard

Boy this Sepultura song takes me back. I remember my metal-loving cousin playing this cassette tape and freaking me the fuck out as a 12 year old whose idea of "heavy music" was the breakdown in Green Day's "Welcome to Paradise"

Re: R1: Bodies vs. Roots Bloody Roots
I've listened to them since the early 90s, and that's the first I've heard of it. Not that I don't believe you, but it's ridiculous. Beneath the Remains, Arise and Chaos A.D. are easily their best albums.theplatypus wrote:They are widely regarded as one of the first nu-metal bandsAnders wrote:How is Sepultura in this tournament? At least with this song, it makes complete sense. Musically they have a lot in common

Re: R1: Bodies vs. Roots Bloody Roots
Yeah, I should say, Sepultura as a whole was probably not a nu-metal band, but Roots was one of the first and most influential nu-metal albums.
