no also a generally watery, vaguely New Agey vibe

Sounds more like a Jar of Flies ripoff meets a Voodoo rehash to me.

I prefer the Cobain rip to the Layne rip.

I really don’t hear much Staley in the Godsmack dude? Just a lot of James Hetfield mixed with the usual Post-Grunge gritted-teeth, pseudo-Vedder thing.

I agree with LV. Dude rips Het a helluva lot more than Staley. Everything has that oyuh! tail to it.

Godsmack is such a blatant rip off of AiC. Still, they’re a better tribute band than PoM.

“Blurry” is the better song here though. It’s so very rudimentary, but somehow it cuts through and plucks the heartstrings. Like a cute kittens YouTube video.

Ugh, Godsmack. I've always been grossed out by them for some reason. I think the vocals seem to pull equally from Staley and Hetfield, but the music is definitely aping Alice in Chains and Mad Season more, at least in this particular song.

Count me in with those who actually get some enjoyment from "Blurry." I like the guitar interplay and the lyrical sentiment, even delivered in Scantlin's mush-mouthed delivery. It's an easy win over "Serenity."

I heard the funniest Godsmack song on the XM nu metal station, it was called I Fucking Hate You and it had the most wanna be tough guy bullshit singing and lyrics ever. That should have been in this.

"Blurry" starts very promising until the guy starts singing.
It still gets my vote.
