I would not personally partake in such a confrontation, but as a concerned witness of the suffering of the day this ranks somewhere around 8 miles south of the middle tier (which is “wrestlers who have met Jim Jordan”). If I’m going to expend 30 solid minutes of life worrying over the pain or fear of a group of others, “officials in the administration that is causing nearly all of the pain and fear” probably don’t make the cut.

When I don’t have active anxiety about children separated from their parents, I will have all manner of additional time to fret about the ability of a corrupt official to peacefully eat lunch.

Pretty much this. I don't know if I would necessarily advocate for this approach (I think I would have to consider how it was done), but taking it back a week, when after days of learning about what was happening to parents at the border, if the straw that broke the camel's back was that Sarah Huckabee Sanders was denied a table at a restaurant, I'd wonder if you may be letting your politics impact your perspective too heavily.

The moral righteousness which would convince someone to break the social norms around shouting at someone they don't know in a restaurant because of their job doesn't seem that different to that which would also drive them to physically hurt them, it's just a matter of degree of exactly how nuts they are.
