Re: Cold Cuts: The sandwich thread
I'm also a big fan of a nice fried bologna sandwich, a.k.a. the "West Virginia Steak Sandwich," with a really thick cut of bologna and a couple slices of bacon on a hoagie bun. I prefer it with a Carolina Gold bbq sauce, but I usually just use Sweet Baby Ray's at home.

My wife likes to fry her bologna with brown sugar. It's the last think I ate before the last time I got sick and threw up. Now I can't even think about it without gagging.lefty wrote:I'm also a big fan of a nice fried bologna sandwich, a.k.a. the "West Virginia Steak Sandwich," with a really thick cut of bologna and a couple slices of bacon on a hoagie bun. my go-to is as simple as can be: high quality roasted turkey breast, mayo, avocado, tomato, sprouts, sharp cheddar, and S&P on some dense whole wheat bread (lightly toasted if possible)E.H. I'm pretty crazy about cured meats: chorizo, salami, Parma or Serrano ham, that kinda thing.

Re: Cold Cuts: The sandwich thread
the fried clam roll that --- posted makes me want a lobster roll. if not for the rain, i'd recommend the wife and i take a walk down the street, set up on the nearest dock bar. i'd order the roll, w/ the mayo on the side, and an allagash black. between the meal and the cover band of the night, i'd be quite happy. (drools on self and then shakes fist at rain)

I get so sick of cold cut sandwiches. I prefer bringing leftovers.

Oh my god so much this. My wife and I have been buying these like crazy. The only flaw is they just suck up any condiments you may have added.

There's nothing worse than an overfilled sandwich.

I agree. Ratios are just as important as what is in the sandwich.surface the north wrote:There's nothing worse than an overfilled sandwich.
That was a pro tip for spike.
