Finally got around to looking at this. Just fucking brilliant. You can hate this movie as much as you want but do not tell me than Rian Johnson isn't a good filmmaker. Do not tell me that he didn't know what he was doing. This dude thought through everything. Just fantastic.

I liked some of the ideas of Luke´s path in that video. I agree that Rian is a wonderful moviemaker too. I still think some of his ideas for the movies werent quite good, specially all involving Rose and Poe.

Im exited about JJ coming back and managing Luke.

I'm blown away by the possibilities of what this means for Rey and Kylo and/ their connection.

I was just about to post that people on twitter are losing their minds saying it means they’re twins.

In all seriousness though stuff like the above shot and that layering connections in so deeply makes me think there’s definitely some sort of roadmap JJ and Rian agreed on for links between them and the story. But even if there isn’t jj has that open playing field and can do anything with it. It’s gonna be a long wait.

This movie has such a strange grasp on me.

It exponentially gets better in my mind the longer i go without seeing it.

I watched it a few weeks ago and again loved it. I kind of walk away and after so long I begin to think about it more passionately.

Same, though I haven't seen it in its entirety since the theater. Plan to change that soon though.

They talked about things for sure, but dont think there is a roadmap. That would include Trevorrow too right?

Well RJ was writing TLJ while TFA was bein filmed. And JJ is executive producer on TLJ also. So they definitely had their heads together. Afaik Treverow wasn’t happy with luke being killed off as he had big plans for him but then couldn’t rewrite satisfactorily to deal with Carrie fishers passing so that was the final straw.

I’m delighted he’s gone too. It wouldn’t have worked. JJ coming back makes all the sense in the world.
