Not that the Seether song is a masterpiece, but Bad Day always felt very basic and simple to me. The Seether song can probably be described the same way, but I find it a little more interesting than Bad Day.

Hilariously, "Bad Day" may be the best song this round. Awful, awful stuff

I loved "Bad Day" when it was new. Like most of this music, it seems hamfisted and ridiculous now, but I understand how I would have liked it at a time when these conventions were just the accepted norm. This guy has a terrible voice but isn't a bad singer -- he seems comfortable digging into a melody, altering it as the song moves forward to reflect a growing intensity. And the use of the minor-fourth chord is pretty harmonically advanced for post-grunge.

Hilarious video too. Those balled up fists are priceless.

Easy vote for Fuel.

Everything about "Bad Day" is overdramatic, from Brett Scallions's vocals, to the familiar rock ballad songrwriting, and through to the acting in the video. Yet, I find something weirdly compelling about it. It's certainly not as bad as the completely soulless Seether song. I would almost say there's nothing memorable about "Fine Again," but hearing it so often on the radio through the years has unfortunately made it hard to forget.

Oh, no...

preparing to cringe...

Bad Day: Cri nging and laughing 1:02.

Fine gain: Feels like a friend in high school made a hit. Not the worst thing ever. Sings similarly to Fuel man but it's not as annoying so it wins. Everyone needs to blow their noses
