Villains is their intention to go pop and dance and its just so fuckin boring. So so boring...the groove is gone, thanks to that awful Ronson, the jams are minimized, every song is a pale attempt of a pop hit.

As for the solo thing, QOTSA is Josh´s project so ..why would he release a solo thang?

Because the new stuff ain’t QOTSA. The disappointment would be much less if it didn’t bear the name.

There's a different groove. The songs just aren't that great.

Yeah, this enthusiasm was short-lived, I've decided going to this would be a bad idea.

Listened to half of Villians and pretty much at the same conclusion. Luckily Newie won’t sell out so I can ponder a while longer.

Ditto for me and Sydney. Nice to see you at least have a Newie option this time

They'll be selling cut-price tickets to the Adelaide show as the date gets closer, I have no doubt.

The Entertainment Centre seems like a very ambitious choice of venue, there's no way they'll come close to selling it out.

Queens of the Stone Age were still awesome live when I saw them last year. They opened with I Think I Lost My Headache, so they could have done all 9 shitty Villains songs in a row after that and I'd still be happy.

They did end up doing 6 or 7 songs from Villains and most of them sounded better live than on the album, but their older material they played still sounded great.

I saw the LC show here with NIN in 2014. While the band was very tight and the LC songs sounded great, nothing will ever top the SFTD show I went to at The Palace in St Kilda on a hot sweaty January night in 2003. It was the loudest mutha'ucking show I have ever seen and my ears are still ringing 15 years later.

If you were putting together a career-spanning 2CD QOTSA live compilation, what would you call it?...

This photo from the poor woman would actually make a pretty good front cover - dare me to use it?

Nice

In all seriousness though, I think I'll be using a different whole band pic. What do you think of "Live Till You Die"?

It sure is. I've rediscovered it this past week and enjoying the hell out of it. FDFM, Domesticated Animals, HLAHH, Eagle Has Landed and VOC are top shelf QOTSA :nice:
