Cult Of Chucky.
While i think Curse is better, its another very strong entry on the franchise. Mancini does a good job connecting all the movies again. I hope his series picks up after this movie.

Fate Of The Furious. Completely ridiculous but fun. You certainly see every dollar on the screen.

I have also been meaning to watch the FF movies. I've only seen the first one, when I was 15 and getting into "serious films", and I hated it because I was a pretentious little shit. Not anymore though!!!

I would never recommend them. You have to make a lot of allowances cause they are dumb but when I'm in the right mood they do tickle the right spots.durdencommatyler wrote:Goddamnit bada... between you and Ruddo, I'm actually gonna have to see this aren't I?bada wrote:Fate Of The Furious. I’ve never seen a F&F movie. It’s probably snobby but the kind of people that watch them turn me off wanting to ever see them. Meaning people I know here. Not you guys.

I saw 3, which apparently is the most divisive, and probably not even a real Fast and Furious movie.

1, 5, 6, and 8 are legimitely great films. 2 and 7 are also good. 3 and 4 pretty much suck. Their reputation as “dumb” is mostly just elitism; there are genuinely thoughtful themes and the craftsmanship is pretty terrific.

Re: What movies are you watching?
I think I've only seen the first one and kinda hated it from memory. Never felt the desire to continue with the series, but I think I might be coming around.
Watched How it Ends last night. This movie seemed a little confused as to what it wanted to be.

Meant to ask you! What we do in the shadows is getting a tv series?!?!
That could be brilliant. What do you think?

When I say dumb I'm not referring to the themes or craftsmanship rather the gravity defying superhero level strength and ability of the characters. I find car porn to be dumb too.

That’s just because they’re usually poorly made. They can be great when shot and assembled well (The Road Warrior).BurtReynolds wrote:In general I think car chases and races are the most boring shit on earth.
