David w Collins has finally started in on Star Wars on his soundtrack podcast.
That’s me up late tonight.
I love this guys take. He really brings the music to life as a character. This is well worth listening to.

How did I not know this?
The main Star Wars theme is actually called Luke’s theme. (The binary sunset theme is actually Obi wans theme)
And the 20th century fox fanfare on a new hope is the original recording from the 30s. And they used it specifically cos it was all scratchy and old sounding, to emphasise how huge and bright and high definition on the Star Wars logo and intro.
