I just like not having to worry about which is the better show.

Very true. Hopefully they are both equally good, and maybe you will get close to the whole new album between the 2 shows

Yeah, the album comes out the day of the first show so I expect to get the whole album over the two nights. Though they usually hold one song back for a while.

You know, for all the hype about Boston loving PJ, there are still plenty of tickets for Worcester.

How dare you imply that Massachusetts isn't the ideal place for pearl jam shows

Kidding of course. It's a sign of the times (and the economy I suppose) if one of the most reliable bands isn't selling out shows in major markets.

I was also kidding, but there are a few things that have gone into it. There are two shows, the first one is essentially sold out. It's in Worcester, not Mansfield or Boston which is kind of weird, and the shows are midweek.

Yeah I opted for Hartford instead of Worcester because of the midweek thing.

Same. The circus is at the Fleetcenter that week, which is why Worcester probably got the nod. They could have done it the next week but the place woulda smelled like elephant poop.

If they hadn't done a 2nd Worcester show I probably would have done Hartford in addition to the first Worcester.

I'm surprised they went for Worcester over Providence.

I've never been to the DCU center, so maybe I'm way off, but I get the impression that The Dunk is just smaller

**checks Wikipedia**

Looks like the DCU center is only slightly bigger, might seat maybe 1500 more people. Maybe it has something to do with reputation? The Dunk rarely gets rock acts these days; when I hear commercials for upcoming events on the radio, it's either WWE, American Idol Tours, or mid-range pop/hip-hop acts. It's a damn shame, considering it's 5 minutes from my apartment. Go Friars!

10C is currently holding a contest to win a trip to Seattle from 10/2-10/4. Seems odd to have it not based around any show, unless of course they have a warm-up gig secretly planned for that time.

I liked Providence when I visited family there a few years ago, but maybe Worcester gives them an excuse to call it "Boston Adjacent".

Yeah, I think there must be more to that contest than they're letting on. It seems kind of weird.

That could of made for an epic show, the place smells so bad that they decided to take it easy and do a all acoustic show about elephant poop.

Yeah, the mid week thing is tough, but I am taking the days off, so it should be fun in Worcester. It's smaller than TD Garden, so I like that part of it.

It's also in the last stages of a remodel, so hopefully it will be a bit nicer than the pictures I have seen.

Yea I took the days as well, I'm actually pretty excited about seeing them in a smaller venue.
