You might be right. I've been listening to it on it's own or next to Ole and Cold Confession and Let It Ride. So it's possible that it does sound flat compared to other studio efforts. But I think it sounds as good or maybe better than the best parts of Backspacer.

Nope, yep, it's the same MP3. No worries, it might improve in context of the album, it's just produced differently than the surrounding songs on my player.

Mine is placed right between two PJ albums and they're both much louder. I keep wondering if I got a different MP3. In any case, hopefully the final version sounds better.

The version I bought off of ITUNES is great quality, but definately quieter than at least half their catalogue. Crossing fingers for volume adjustment on CD.
