I kind of enjoy Nookie and all its dumbness but GTL is fucking fantastic and easily one of the best Nu songs. That opening snare drum is one of my favorite moments in music

Re: R1: Got the Life vs. Nookie
Nookie has genuinely good music to it IMO, but Fred Durst is insufferable.
Got the Life is more classic (klassik?) Korn though, so easy vote.

Both of these songs are killer. Wes Borland is an underrated writer and guitarist, but as Jordo said, GTL is peak "nu".

I voted for Nookie because they shouldnt have arrested him just for shooting that video.

Man, I really don't like anything about Korn. Bizkit Boys, have another.

Re: R1: Got the Life vs. Nookie
Another battle of the icons. Musically, "Nookie" has some classic old-school hip-hop style going on, but the majority of the song is unfortunately carried by Fred Durst. You almost have to feel bad for Wes Borland and his disdain for how the song turned out.
"Got the Life" is a pretty upbeat jam for a Korn song, and it's easy to hear how it became their breakthrough and crossover hit. The huge drum beat carries the song, but I don't find much in the way of interesting details beyond the propulsive moment. Still, it's the better song here, so Korn gets another vote from me.

But I also like "Nookie". I know the entire rap from memory.
I wish I could vote for both songs.
