As I said, if it's explained later, fair enough, I guess. As of now, it seems unfair to the audience and I don't like it. Why couldn't they just throw a line of dialogue like his kid died horrifically and then leave that hanging for the next movie to explain? There's just so much more they could've done to make it an interesting cliff hanger or something... We're just left missing our beloved character and wondering why he's suddenly such a wet sock who sometimes breaks character for bad attempts at humour.dimejinky99 wrote:tree_ wrote:Uhmmm... we've been over this...dimejinky99 wrote:tree_ wrote:I've proven I do have a grasp, though. I've seen all things Star Wars, since the beginning, read a lot of Canon, etc. and I hate this movie. But sometimes I hate coming in here because I feel like I'm an asshole for not liking it
Fair points. Ask this guy to at least get a grasp on basic facts within the trilogy and at least a bare grasp of the story and we can then have a great conversation once he does.
Can’t imagine why.
It’s explained three times in the film what went wrong for Luke.
Did you miss that part? Piss break? Three times?
Correct me if I'm wrong... it wasn't explained how Luke became the kind of person who would kill Ben in cold blood in his sleep. That's very un-Luke, from what we know of him.
It wasn’t explained how Ben went bad enough for his parents to ship him off to luke. It wasnt explained how Snoke got to him.
Yet. You’re goibg to see that all explained. Unless you give up and keep watching YouTube to tell you how to think being allergic to reason though, you’ll probably never find out.

There are far more important things to take issue with this movie then rey fucking swimming. When you spend time and legit energy on such a thing it is very hard to take any of your concerns seriously.

Han Solo: Han Solo. I'm captain of the Millennium Falcon. Chewie here tells me you're lookin' for passage to the Alderaan system?
Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi: Yes indeed, if it's a fast ship.
Han Solo: Fast ship? You've never heard of the Millennium Falcon?
Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi: Should I have?
Han Solo: It's the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs. I've outrun Imperial starships. Not the local bulk cruisers mind you, I'm talking about the big Corellian ships now. She's fast enough for you old man. What's the cargo?

The film was called the force awakens
The film was literally about the force awakening in a girl to bring about a balance against the counterpart. Kylo.
Did you not watch that one either?
