Let's try to keep the name calling to a minimum here and keep it civilized discussion. Just because you like or don't like the movie doesn't make you an idiot or whatever. Taking offense to the fact that someone has the opposite view as you about the movie is pretty lame.

I've seen all things Star Wars, since the beginning, read a lot of Canon, etc. and I hate this movie. But sometimes I hate coming in here because I feel like I'm an asshole for not liking it

Fair points. Ask this guy to at least get a grasp on basic facts within the trilogy and at least a bare grasp of the story and we can then have a great conversation once he does.

Correct me if I'm wrong... it wasn't explained how Luke became the kind of person who would kill Ben in cold blood in his sleep. That's very un-Luke, from what we know of him.

As I said, if it's explained later, fair enough, I guess. As of now, it seems unfair to the audience and I don't like it. Why couldn't they just throw a line of dialogue like his kid died horrifically and then leave that hanging for the next movie to explain? There's just so much more they could've done to make it an interesting cliff hanger or something... We're just left missing our beloved character and wondering why he's suddenly such a wet sock who sometimes breaks character for bad attempts at humour.

I really like Luke´s arc in this movie, but i think that he needed to be in the third one. It would have closed his arc for this trilogy in a better way.

These aren't luke, leia's, or Han's movies. Those already happened. They are there to serve the new characters of which many of you dont like. So i get the internal struggle here

I liked the potential of the new characters in TFA but they are treated so poorly in this movie. How does Rey even know how to swim? Almost everything is too easy for her. It seems her only real struggle is not knowing who her parents are. Finn rejoices at needlessly trashing a casino in which innocent people may have been harmed and slaves will probably be forced to clean up. He's too stupid to realize that. Poe is still kinda cool, I guess. We all know Rose is one of the worst characters of all time.
