Going to this Mexican place in Billyburg tonight for a friend's birthday get together. Never been. It's called Xixa.

He's great. He's got a show on PBS now too. And not only was his restaurant good, but I've tried some of his recipes and they've been wonderful

Brigtsen's in New Orleans. One of my favorite restaurants here. Highly recommend it if you're ever here.

Checked out the sole remaining Pig Stand while in San Antonio last week. Paint chipping off the walls, exposed outlets, and a scattershot inventory of holiday mugs couldn't stop me from geeking the fuck out in the booth of this true blue American diner.

Had a patty melt with an egg on the side, onion rings, and coffee as black as midnight on a moonless night.

Sunday lunch at Cleburne Cafeteria. Luby’s style cafeteria setup but so much better. Fresh meats. Local veggies. Pies on pies on pies.
