Doesn't ska require horns of some kind?

I've heard Cake classified as ska before. They do have horns.

Not necessarily. I think of ska-punk as basically a kind of punk song that incorporates a (usually sped-up) version of that choked, staccato, top-part-of-the-chord-only ska guitar strumming sound. It usually does incorporate the horns but it's not a requirement.

Gonna go with more obscure stuff that I actually like out of this godawful genre:

Rancid - Maxwell's Murder
NOFX - The Decline
Against Me - Reinventing Axl Rose
The Suicide Machines - New Girl
Goldfinger - Superman
Reel Big Fish - Beer
Vandals - Euro Barge
Less Than Jake - All My Friends are Metalheads
Refused - New Noise (actually a good song, if this isn't included you can go fuck yourself Jorge)

Also, what the fuck, Cake and 311 and Sublime are not fucking pop punk, what the hell is wrong with you guys.

We're not going to include any of these except maybe "Superman"
