This game is very hard and brutally punishing. I lost one of my favorite soldiers on a mission to rescue the skirmisher (for the second time, this dude couldn't stop getting captured) and then the skirmisher got killed on the next mission. Bummer.
This game intimidates me.

I restarted the game 3 or 4 times before I got the hang of it and even then I had to ease in by starting at the lowest difficulty and raising it as I got more comfortable.

The two best pieces of advice I could give you are don't get flanked (especially early when your guys are likely to get one shot if the enemy crits) and never move a soldier into fog of war with their last move.

Maybe I should play Mario Vs Rabbids as practice first?

I've played nothing but Age of Empires 2 with buddies for the past month or so. Can't seem to bring myself to dive into any of the 200-odd single player games I own but haven't touched. What a waste of money. This must be what LV feels like with his movie collection.

I want to play No Man's Sky after all the updates. Sounds like the perfect game for me right now.

That's a shame. Can't you DL it? I bought it when it first came out.. played it a few times then gave up on it. AFter having read about the updates I'm pretty excited to try it again.

I could download it, but I want to buy a physical copy for 20 bucks (several stores have it discounted right now). If I don't get into it I can always sell it.

Have you tried to buy from Redbox? I think you can identify a local box that will have your game.
No dice.

I wanted to play SimCity 2000 but it won't run in my computer. So then I wanted to try downloading SimCity 4 but apparently that's unreliable too. Why the fuck are old PC games so difficult to play? Seems insane that we've let that happen.

Have you tried running Sim City 2000 in compatibility mode? Right-click the executable>Properties and see if it's an option.

Failing that, Cities: Skylines is widely regarded as the best city sim these days.

Been playing quite a bit of FIFA 18 lately, mostly live, either one on one or five vs five.

I can definitely see the appeal of the gameplay loop of No Man's Sky and I'm not even off the first planet yet.

I haven't played a SimCity game in ages. Lots of great memories there.
