I honestly think that only like 3 or 4 people actually care if its fake or not. Everybody else is just enjoying the lulz.

I'm sure that's true. But I sort of care, so help me Zeus.

I know you're upset right now, so I'll pretend you didn't say that.
I don't know what this means :(
It was a Simpsons quote, but what it was intended to convey was that what you've described (wanting a song to be as loud as every other song) is what led to the "loudness war" madness of albums like S/T.

It's okay for a song to be quieter - or, more accurately, more dynamic. It just means you can actually turn it up without it sounding absolutely terrible.

Oh, that. Yeah actually as soon as it was said I wondered whether the loudness war was what it alluded to. I'm not really concerned with 'loudness' in itself. What bothers me is that my MP3 player only goes up to '30' (whatever that is) and so if a song is generally quieter, it'll be quieter still. When it has an album surrounding it, I'm sure it'll sound fine, but to get it to any decent volume it'll have to go on proper speakers. Bear in mind that it's quieter than albums like Versus, which I didn't think was affected by the loudness war problem.

Oh - if it's quieter than Vs, then you've probably got a weird file. Mine is much louder than that.

Even with the picture i think its fake because the one that posted the tracklist was a 2nd account, though could have been because they thought they would get in trouble

Or a bad mp3 player. The output on some of those things is atrocious.

I'm not convinced either. I mean, I coulda whipped that up at home, but if someone put that much work into a fake, they deserve to fool a few of us.

I'm erring on this being the problem. It's a Walkman MP3 player. It sounds really good for the little thing it is, but if you start comparing the sound quality of songs it's probably not going to hold up to scrutiny. That's OK.

Didn't it come from a few sources, though? I thought someone said an Italian site posted the same tracklisting. That would make sense if they're sending promo material out now.

If it's real, then for once, I'm very interested to hear what the potentially awful 'Where's the sponge?' is like, or even about. That title isn't giving much away other than dishwashing and niche sexual activity.

Those are supposed to be pretty good. I meant more like the super cheap no-name knockoffs. My first mp3 player was made by a company named "GIANTS SOUND", and it sounded so horrible and tinny. I can't even find any information about their products online.

I'm not convinced that it isn't from one source that sent it to several sources. PJO got it, then it's been retweeted or whatever by several people from there. They guy that posted it here could have easily been the guy that sent to PJO.

Still ... I'm thinking better than 50/50 that it's real.

Its possible, i have trouble keeping up with everything, but the one who posted it here this morning said it was from the Dallas radio station he worked at

Yeah I know the ones. I mean, not that particular brand name or anything.

I mean, if it were a fake, and they were going through the trouble of printing shit out with logos attacthed to make people believe it, you'd probably avoid 'obviously' fake titles like 'where's the sponge', just to get people to believe it longer.

Though there were the fake tracklists that were fake screenshots, so these people do have time on their hands apparently.
