Unless they're Pearl Jam records. They sound the exact same.

I don't keep anything sealed however sometimes I treat records like stocks. I'll buy doubles of some artists because I know I can trade/resell at a later time when the value increases and this helps fund future purchases.
just went to my shop of choice (got the new yo la tengo) only to find that the separate cd/dvd/etc. shop is being consolidated into the vinyl shop. the vinyl section is now only 1/3 of what it once was. sigh.

That's a real bummer. A store around here did that years ago and their selection has never been the same. There's no used stuff to speak of. I barely shop there anymore, unless I'm looking for Spoon records. They have a ton of Spoon records.
