and Otto Warmbier didn't die while in North Korean custody too so that couldn't have been their fault

Re: The 45th POTUS - Donald J. Trump
Quite an escalation in the fight between the biggest Republican donor group and (checks notes) Republicans
The Republican National Committee is sending a warning shot to major GOP donors not to play ball with the powerful Koch political network, escalating a fight between President Donald Trump’s allies and the Kochs.
The move follows a weekend retreat in Colorado at which Koch network officials criticized the Trump administration, hinted they would work with Democrats, and announced they would not help a Republican candidate in a key 2018 Senate race.

It’s not just the brothers. The network is a massive subset of big money donors who are now being forcibly removed from influence by cash-starved Republicans for the crimes of opposing tariffs and deficits.
It is pretty fucking weird that the party feels unconcerned about losing that much money.

My post was more to the point that I don't think this matters overall. The KBs are stating that they're not putting money behind specific people/races. I'm sure they'll still put money against other people/races, though.McParadigm wrote:It’s not just the brothers. Re: The 45th POTUS - Donald J. Trump
At least the Kochs aren’t blindly going along suckling at the teet of trump like the rest of the party. Unlike the freedom caucus they appear to still oppose deficits, tariffs and bailouts even when they’re Republican-made.
**this isn’t a full-throated defense of the Kochs because I honesty don’t know that much about them except that they have been major GOP funders for awhile now, just an observation that at least at the present moment they appear to be more ideological than a lot of that party.

Paul Ryan just counting the days
guy just wants to slink out into the private sector but at this rate there won't be a GOP to assert influence over on behalf of his new employer
he and mitch mcconnell the only things standing in the way of the president being indicted
so shameful
this will be like when GWB left the economy to rot those last couple months rather than act and just handed obama the U.S. on its deathbed

I don't know if this is a publicly funded or privately funded group, but I found this in an ad on a conservative magazine website:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AyaYU8y-Y_k
Is this a plea for the US to not abandon NATO? There's a lot of use of terms like the Poles fulfilling their 'obligation' to the Allies. Does a fight for sovereignty really count as an act of obligation to others?
Seems like a weird way to pose honoring the memory of the Warsaw uprising.

American democracy is so dependent on having an informed public that it has no failsafes for handling the weight of the stupidest people on earth.
