you're right, the entire area is gonna be swamped. if it were up to me, i'd go somewhere a little further out, like Seapine Brewing. It's about a mile / 20-minute walk to Safeco, but you could Uber/Lyft a little closer if you wanted. I feel like doing that would be a little easier to elbow up to a table.Bammer wrote:Snatch I am curious for your take on a meet up spot?bodysnatcher wrote:i have no doubt about that whatsoeverE.H. i'd prefer it, but they are some of my wife's friends. i hope it works out
If you want to stay closer to the stadium, Hooverville will be slammed but if people got there early enough, you might find a table. Pyramid will be PACKED, but I imagine they will be setting up several outdoor beer stations in their parking lots. Everything on the Pioneer Square side will be busy. I'd skip Elysian ... it'll be a shit show. King Street Bar might be alright, it goes a little under the radar. Might be worth going a little further north on 1st Ave and walking in.... Central Saloon, Damn The Weather.
Since these are going to be huge, and on weekday nights around rush hour, I'd highly suggest getting to the bar / around the stadium earlier than you might expect just to avoid anxiety. Because once our city streets clog, you aren't going to be ANYwhere anytime soon. Note to people coming into town: if you're downtown, it'll be quicker to walk to the stadium any time after ~5:00.
