i was thinking about that music from the tour video. I wonder now if its the same chords we heard in the london soundcheck song? Just a thoughtharmless wrote:I wonder if the tour video music is "Where's the sponge?"

I don't think it is. But it could be a section from the song (beginning or end), I guess. It doesn't sound like anything in the main body of the song.Lounge Lizard wrote:i was thinking about that music from the tour video. They have Sirens and Future Days back to back on the album. As i understand, both are ballads - it would be odd for them to follow eachother. Sleeping will also probably be a ballad and is also a part of the same sequence as Sirens and FD - potential awkward song placement - IMO.

Re: Lightning Bolt - October 15
I disagree, actually. Sirens, if it's that soundcheck song, is a driving (though slow) rock song which builds like black. FD and SBM have potential to stay quite mellow. A bigger problem is that they awkwardly place mellow tracks next to loud ones. Parachutes is in a fucking awful place on S/T, and JB could be placed better on Backspacer. I think that if we get lost in ballad country for a while on this album, that's better than having one sandwiched between other stuff. If anything, it might mean that they don't load the second half with boring stuff, maybe even save a 'Leash' for the end. That would be cool. Not that we'll get a Leash.SaturdayNightSeizure wrote:They have Sirens and Future Days back to back on the album. As i understand, both are ballads - it would be odd for them to follow eachother. Sleeping followed by FD actually makes sense.SaturdayNightSeizure wrote:They have Sirens and Future Days back to back on the album. Don't think Sirens will be a ballad

And since Sirens sounds like Rocky IV, this might be a concept album about boxing. "I Vill Break You (live)" is the secret track.
