Not as much at the beginning, but this one was fairly tight, iirc.Strat wrote:They were playing great on that tour as well!

I’ve always liked that 2005 tour. This looks pretty great.
Was this not the ‘Instant Classic’ show?

I think that was the 2012 show they did for Tester. This one was on basecamp for a very brief moment.Teeeeeekay wrote:I’ve always liked that 2005 tour. This looks pretty great.

this is cool and all, but hopefully we'll get a No Code show one year - complete or otherwise.

this feels like a 'nice to have' show rather than a 'need to have' show. haven't listened to it in awhile, but i remember ed sounding awful at the beginning and the show not being very tight. i wonder if they'll keep the jeff/tester intros.
did this get put up when nugs released flacs of the 05 tour? if not, i guess that will be one benefit of this being used as a vault.
ah, copperplate, a font for the truly modern man.

This was not rereleased on FLAC. The mp3s were leaked when PJ / Basecamp was testing their system.AndySlash wrote:nah, that was 2012.Teeeeeekay wrote:I’ve always liked that 2005 tour. This looks pretty great.

Re: Vault #8: Missoula, MT, 8/29/2005
just got through the main set and this is a worse performance than i remembered. this was before the gorge show, so was the first time playing in several months, and it shows. choice of this for vault seems more a choice of convenience than an inspired choice. why not the house of blues show at the end of the tour?

So this is the only 2005 that was not included in the bootleg program back then?
Interesting choice then.
What else was not included in any bootleg program yet? The whole 2004 and 2007 tour, the PJ20 shows...
Edit: Oh and that 2005 HOB show with Robert Plant...

I just haven't been moved to pick any of them up. None of them have really grabbed me. But I'm not anit-vault in any way, no.dad wrote:are you anti-vault, or does it just not do anything for you?durdencommatyler wrote:Just like all previous Vault releases, I will not be picking this up.

Re: Vault #8: Missoula, MT, 8/29/2005
The Vault is the most exciting thing about Pearl Jam these days for me, this is the first one I've felt disappointed by - we only get one per year, so it's a long wait for the next one.
While I'll always prefer something from 1993-1998, there's plenty of other Cameron-era shows I would have chosen before this show. How about something from the otherwise unreleased 2004 or 2007 tours?

That's my memory too - it's hardly a standout performance, I remember it being pretty rough.AndySlash wrote:haven't listened to it in awhile, but i remember ed sounding awful at the beginning and the show not being very tight.
