Would have been kinda useless. Airport is only about a 3 minute flight from the stadium, and it took about an hour to clear out the stadium last night

I think they probably assessed the situation and figured there was more risk making 50,000 people panic their way out of a stadium than leaving things as is. The guy didn’t seem interested in hurting anyone.

I’m not the biggest MLB fan but Crown of Thorns was outstanding last night. Maybe biased because I was there but it seemed to outshine all the live versions I’ve heard.

true...

Congrats on an awesome night 2... I'd like to feel bad for those who only went to night 1, but they should have known better!

Btw, just drove by the stadium. Merch line at the tent is still 2-3 hours. The day after the shows. Lol.

There are a couple of PJ shirts at the sub pop shop at the airport if you missed the merch line. Space needle home shows and Mtn + seattle.

Yes, and I want one but not enough to go stand in line again. :/ There were a bunch on ebay but it looks like people bought them already. This is what it looks like

bodysnatcher wrote:Echoing everyone else, last night show was head over heels better than night 1. Ed mentioned that they were really uptight and nervous on night 1. But they brought it tonight. Honestly one of the best and favorite shows I’ve ever been to. The people immediately around us were all 10c fans and every song that started we just kept realizing how fun the set was.

I can’t even pinpoint a highlight. The Cornell cover song was great... I had no idea what it was until I got home. Kim shredded Kick Out The Jams, and Mark Arm was perfect for Search and Destroy and Sonic Reducer.

Ed got weepy when talking about Tom Petty, saying the last time he saw him was at the Safeco show last summer. He asked everyone to hold up a light so that maybe Tom could hear and see us. The whole stadium was lit with phones.

Crown was great to hear. I’ve heard it a few times before at shows, but something about this one made it more fun. Being an outdoor show, in Seattle, the band just channeled the song, with the whole crowd singing along into the night sky. It had become the stadium rock anthem that Andy Wood wanted. A nice tribute in his hometown, outdoors under the sky for the whole city to hear.

I hate to say it, but i thoroughly enjoyed Unthought Known. They’ve really transformed that song live.

My wife was super pumped to hear Jeremy. She’s been to about 10-12 shows with me, and had never heard it. For a song that I’ve heard thousands of times, and probably 30 times live, it was a lot of fun to relive it through someone who was seeing it for the first time.

I’d like to add this before this thread gets swallowed up by irrelevancy or until MJD listens to the boot and hates something: I got to watch the majority of this show with our own Stickman, and it just reaffirmed why I still fritter away time here. This is a small community of good people. I can honestly say I enjoyed listening to him talk about how Pearl Jam literally changed his life by influencing him to move across country as much as I enjoyed the show itself. I hope all of you going to Missoula do really make the effort you’ve been talking about. It will absolutely enhance your concert and RM experience.

Really wish my plane had landed on time so I could have met Bammer and revisited Bi_3.

I don’t see that but I do see Let Me Sleep, which would be two nights in a row, so that explains what Ed scratched mid set.

They haven’t released a full show DVD/Blu Ray since the ‘03 tour. This sounds like the optimal show for that - at least based on how people are reacting here. I am glad many of you got out there to enjoy this.
